As part of 6EBA's Active Ageing project, the Senior's program conducted a live outside broadcast at the YU Restaurant in Burswood to the delight of guests. The event brought our older citizens from all cultures together to celebrate their own Valentines stories.

6EBA-FM teamed up with Have-a-go-News and held a LIVE outside broadcast
for the seniors from the YU Restaurant (Burswood Entertainment
Complex) on February the 14th. There was a lot of love in the air being Valentines day and it was a huge success. Guests interviewed on the day included Daniel Mann (YU Restaurant Manager) and Chung Wah Association
secretary Kaylene Poon. They told us all about Chinese New Year and it’s
traditions. A highlight of the event was the fabulous opportunity given to
seniors to tell us about their Valentine stories.
It was fantastic to see seniors from such diverse backgrounds come together
to celebrate Chinese New and Valentines Day. They all had a great
time which is part of the Active Ageing initiative with 6EBA-FM.
