This evening 6EBA's Olivia Holmes and Ethel Wallam on behalf of the station's indigenous radio program "Whadjuk Radio" very proudly accepted the Category 1 Award for Working creatively to make a difference (small group/organisation) in the 2007 Community Industry Service Awards presentations held in Nedlands.

Whadjuk Radio produced by Olivia and Ethel and the team is Perth's only indigenous radio program.

The Awards are sponsored by Lotterywest and the Department for Child Protection Department for Communities.

Ethnic radio broadcaster 6EBA has been providing music, information and news to Perth's multi-cultural community since 1990. Now they are supporting Whadjuk Radio, a local media voice for young Indigenous people in Perth.

The program has been developed in partnership with Yorgum Aboriginal Theatre Company and Abmusic College. These organisations have been an essential part of contributions to Whadjuk Radio program's Indigenous support of broadcasting and training.

Congratulations !
